I stayed at the hostel for a week during a seminar at the university. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was close to attractions like Lake Geneva. The breakfast was tasty and had a good variety. The rooms were cleaned daily and had excellent shower facilities. The hostel had a modern vibe, with great lighting in the rooms. There were also fun amenities like a pinball machine, vending machines, and a bar.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was in Lausanne for a swim race at Bellerive beach, and the location was perfect for a quick plunge in the lake beforehand. The dinner and breakfast provided were absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of food to fuel me for the race. The main room and cafeteria were also really cozy and comfortable. Additionally, the staff were really nice and accommodating, especially when I called to let them know about my late arrival.
I highly recommend this hotel!

The price for the hotel was excellent, especially considering the amenities and service. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, speaking multiple languages. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation. One positive aspect was the comfortable beds and nice sheets. Another bonus was the availability of parking spaces for guests, which saved us from having to pay for parking elsewhere.
The limited self-catering facilities, making it difficult to prepare our own meals. The Wi-Fi signal in the rooms was weak, which made it difficult to stay connected.

Nothing much to like about the "jeunotel"
Will not go back , too much like a bunker, high windows you cannot see out of, bare floors etc everything is basic

The hostel offered a free bus/train pass, allowing us to explore the beautiful city with ease. The staff went above and beyond to assist us, ensuring we had a pleasant stay. Additionally, the hostel provided complimentary breakfast, a great start to our day. I highly recommend this hostel for its pleasant atmosphere and excellent amenities.

Although away from the centre, transportation is good (you have a metro nearby and a bus stop right at the end of the street). You get a pass for free transport in Lausanne!
First thing is that nowhere in the reservation (done here) it is mentioned that non-members of the International Youth Hostel will have to pay extra! I find it extremely disrespectful to be confronted with this upon check-in... Only a few bathrooms per floor, and the staff was unable to point me to the nearest one, in the end I was just able to find 2 showers in the entire floor (which has dozens of rooms). Some people appear to be living there, which gives the place a rather non-youth atmosphere... The breakfast is rather rudimentary/incomplete.

Services such as Internet, pass of city bus to travel around the city, delicious breakfast
Room heating not enough, room light not enough for reading, less warm water
